Ignore the title, that's just something I heard in a game I played today.
Anyways, I'M GOING TO THE NATIONAL SPELLING BEE!
Yes, after trying to get there since 2006, I'm finally heading to D.C. to, like, spell and stuff.

The only thing I'm worried about is the written round, which is the first round in the competition. You're given 50 words to spell on a computerized test, and half of them count towards your total score, which is 25. If you spell your word correctly in the second round, it adds 3 points to your score, resulting in a possible 28. Since I don't know what the bare minimum is, I'm crossing my fingers and nervously pacing through the big-@$$ international dictionary the county bee gave me, hoping I can make the cut.
Austin Pineda, last year's representative for Riverside County (http://cbs2.com/local/Tralatious.Austin.Pineda.2.737286.html), got $750 big ones for earning twelfth place- but they gave him the easiest frikkin words! Dear God, I hope I get the luck of the draw like he did. And I would have gotten that word he missed.
Anyway, I have to say I feel bad for not contributing to the Golden Ages movement, but only because I don't want to pay for verifying my account on IMDb. I just feel bad watching all the veterans hanging around wondering where the crap I am. ;_;
Anyways, thanks to you guys for helping build one of the most memorable times of my life- the summer of 2006, where fun came naturally and I could keep myself entertained without trying to reenact some other year to compensate for a crappy one.
You know what? We're issuing a get-together. Call everyone you know from the Golden Ages and tell them to gather here or somewhere else- but since people have lives and won't rearrange their busy schedules to talk to someone online, let's make it an all-night thing, mmkay? ;D
