OK, since most of us probably haven't seen all of the films from summer 2008, I thought we should do 2007 first. I'll wait to do 2008 until about January or so when all of this summer's films are on DVD/Blu-Ray. Just list your presonal top 10 favorite films of summer 2007. Here's mine:
01. Transformers 02. The Simpsons Movie 03. Ratatouille 04. Surf's Up 05. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix 06. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End 07. Knocked Up 08. Superbad 09. Spider-Man 3 10. Ocean's Thirteen

01. The Simpsons Movie 02. Spider Man 3 03. POTC 3 04. Ratatouille 05. Transformers (which I ironically didn't see until January of this year)
Yeah- that's all I can think of actually.

Man, you should've seen it on the big screen. That is DEFINITLEY where it works best. I saw it twice in theatres. The sight of giants robots knocking the hell outta each other is an experience MADE for the big screen. It probably works well too on an HDTV.

Yeah, well let me say this- when I saw it on DVD, I went nuts. I'm not talking about something like my very brief POTC craze- I'm talking about the Cars styled like it from January to whenever craze that I had going. I'm not kidding either- I was talking stories, new characters, you name it, I probably had it! Heck, I even hung around in the Transformers fanfic section for about two months!
Yeah- so Transformers had an impact on me. Seriously, I instantly fell in love with Linkin Park's song "What I've Done". Trust me Collin- you don't know how much just seeing it on DVD can do.

When I heard it was coming to DVD on October 16 (my source for this stuff is dvdactive.com), I was psyched because it was only three and a half months from its theatrical release. I bought the two-disc at Target and watched the film and the extras and no other films for about two weeks until Spider-Man 3 was released on October 30.

I got the DVD January 21 of this year, but I didn't buy the two-disc set. I think that DVD became more higher prized to me than my Cars DVD for two to three months- especially considering that I didn't watch Cars once this year until either early this month or late last month.
But it was really cool.

I saw both The Dark Knight and Wall-E twice so far. I may see TDK once more before it leaves theatres since it's still playing at mine.
And Eve was AWESOME in that freaking movie, dude. I LOVED her character. I absolutely loved the angle that they chose to go with her character. She had a lot more depth than most love interest character in almost anything I've ever seen. It's a story about a woman and her inner turmoil, torn between her duty and her emotions. Cuz she's dark and troubled.
And while I don't have any sexual fantasies over her, Eve is SLEEK and HOT, man.

I hate Batman... *runs from Batman fans with pitchforks and torches*
But seriously, my favorite character was Mo from Wall-E. He was just so freakin' adorable! And everything he said rhymed... Yeah, I always like the weird and wacky little ones.
